You can make money from Paid Reviews

You have heard of paid reviews. Paid reviews are a great way to make some money off your blog. A few bloggers scorn at the idea of paid reviews saying that it will kill your pagerank. I don’t mind Pagerank much. I think money is quite more important. After all, doing paid reviews can help you when you are in need. I have done many paid reviews in the past and made some money from it.
Here is a summary of some paid review services I use.
Smorty - Smorty is a service I have been using since a long time. Most of the time, they have a lot of offers. Usually, you start with $6 per assignment and it can go on increasing as you complete more assignments. Once you accept a task, you are given 24 hours to complete it. They send payments weekly.
Blogsvertise - Blogsvertise gives out a lot of tasks once you get accepted into their network. The only bad thing about them is that they pay 30 days after your post gets accepted.
Blog to Profit - I’m new to this service. They give only three tasks when you start and keep sending more offers only when you complete the first three. They usually pay within 2 weeks. One thing I like about Blog to Profit is their splendid support.
Making money by doing paid reviews is easy. But the difficult part is getting accepted into some of the paid review services. Here are some tips:
- Improve your stats. You get accepted into paid review services only if your blog has good stats. So start building up your Pagerank and Alexa.
- Improve your blog. Many paid review services require you to regularly update your blog with normal posts (not paid posts).
Although the above tips are for making money from paid reviews, I want to hear your opinion on whether doing paid reviews is good or bad.

Indeed paid reviews can make you money. But when you start having an audience.. this turns them off and most likely they unsubscribe.

I haven’t tried paid reviews yet. I do care about page rank. However that being said I have done a couple free reviews and they were quite popular so i might see if i can’t get into the paid arena.
Thanks for the recommendations.

Hey Ganesh,
Paid Reviews are good to earn some quick money, at the same time they make the blog readers run away. If one is focused on earning money, more likely he won’t.
One who doesn’t run after money, money runs after him.

The thing with those paid review networks is that most of them don’t allow publishers to disclose that it is a paid review and no nofollow. Most people who do it have their pr dropped to 0 and since they are 0, they cant be profitable anymore w/those networks.. But well I agree, paid reviews can easily make you $100

Use of these sites is a concept I had not known about, and I think I understand the concept behind them. The idea of writing reviews seems appropriate in a sea of various sites that could have a variety of level of quality.

I have had problems with SponsoredReviews, and I don’t know why. I ended directly contacting the advertiser to get paid, because for strange reasons they can’t track my progress…
About Smorty, I used it a year ago and I have to say that I loved that service because of its quick payments!
However I think that you cannot be constantly writing sponsored reviews or your readers will get bored of your behavior.

Paid reviews can be good or bad, depending on the potential of your site. If you are looking for a quick buck then it’d be worth it. But if you are going for the big money, when you have a successful blog, I would suggest waiting. It totally is up to the blogger though. In most cases, I would say take the paid reviews, because most likely they would be able to make big money from their blog anyway. It’s better to make some money, instead of none.

I am just venturing into doing paid reviews on one of my blogs, haven’t made much so far. PayPerPost has been the best but I haven’t tried Blogsvertise or Blog To Profit yet, I’ll check them out.
